Student General Manager Takes the Helm of Flag City Sluggers
FINDLAY, Ohio– The Flag City Sluggers are proud to announce the appointment of Sydney Craig as the team's Student General Manager for the 2025 season. A Sport Management student at Bowling Green State University, Sydney brings a wealth of experience and skills to the organization.
As Student General Manager, Sydney will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the team's operations, including marketing, community outreach, social media, and fan experience. With a passion for baseball and a strong understanding of the business side of the sport, Sydney is poised to lead the Sluggers to new heights.
Sydney is currently the Director of Baseball Operations at Bowling Green State University since December 2023. She oversees and manages all operational aspects of the baseball program, including team travel and ensures efficient day-to-day operations by managing accommodations and meals during both home and away games. Sydney played a key role in the team’s success, contributing to the MAC Championship win in Spring 2024 through meticulous planning and operational support.
Prior to working with the baseball team, Sydney was a Student Assistant for Game Operations in the BGSU Athletic Department from August to December 2023. She managed game day operations for multiple sports, including men’s and women’s soccer and football, ensuring a seamless experience for teams, officials, and fans. She also played an instrumental role in the successful execution of the Mid-American Conference Cross Country Tournament, coordinating logistics and overseeing event setup and breakdown. Sydney collaborated with various departments to ensure all aspects of game day operations were efficiently handled, from team arrivals to post-game activities. She supported the athletic department by ensuring compliance with conference regulations and enhancing the overall game day experience.
