ONE MONTH OUT: FLAG CITY SLUGGERS CALL ON FINDLAY TO MAKE HISTORY TOGETHER
Findlay, Ohio – In just one month, on June 6, 2025, the Flag City Sluggers will take the field for the very first time, launching their inaugural season and officially bringing summer baseball to Findlay, Ohio. From Opening Day forward, every pitch, every cheer, and every moment will be powered by the people who made it all possible: the fans.
“This is more than baseball—this is about bringing something meaningful to the people of Findlay,” said Joe Fenimore, President and Founder of the Flag City Sluggers. “We wanted to create a team that reflects the values, the energy, and the pride of this community. This has always been about giving Findlay something to rally around, and we’re so excited to finally open the gates and welcome everyone in.”
The 2025 season promises unforgettable nights at the ballpark, with games designed to connect, entertain, and celebrate the heart of the city.
“The Sluggers are every bit as much the city of Findlay’s team as they are ours,” said Sydney Craig, General Manager of the Sluggers. “We built this team for the fans—for the families, the students, the little leaguers, the businesses, the volunteers. Every detail of this season was created with Findlay in mind. This team exists because of this community, and our mission is to give them something they can truly call their own.”
This summer’s can’t-miss theme nights include:
June 6 & 7 – Opening Weekend: Be part of history as we open the gates and kick off the season with high energy and hometown pride.
June 29 – Youth Day & Slugger’s Birthday: A day full of fun, games, and surprises for our youngest fans, plus a party for everyone’s favorite mascot.
July 3 – Baseball History Day: Honoring the sport’s roots with tributes, throwback moments, and a love for the game that started it all.
July 18 – National Hotdog Day & First Responders Night: Celebrate our community heroes and enjoy one of the best parts of any ballpark experience.
July 26 – Host Family Night: A night dedicated to the generous families who support our players and help bring the season to life.
The Sluggers’ inaugural roster features a strong mix of talent from across the country, including standout college athletes from top programs. The team brings together pitchers with powerful arms, position players with speed and precision, and hitters ready to bring fireworks to the plate. With a deep bench and a competitive edge, this squad is built to entertain and contend—all while proudly representing Findlay.
“We’ve been saying it from the start—this season isn’t just about baseball, it’s about people,” said Reegan Hayward, Assistant General Manager of the Sluggers. “It’s about giving Findlay something to be proud of and a place to come together. We’re building more than a team—we’re building moments that this community will remember for a long, long time.”
Off the field, the Sluggers’ success is made possible by a dedicated team of college interns from across Ohio, who’ve spent months preparing every aspect of the fan experience—from operations and marketing to game-day programming and community outreach.
Young fans can also join the Sluggers Kids Club—a $50 membership that includes admission to all home games, exclusive gear, birthday surprises, and special access to kid-friendly experiences.
